Of course I never remember that they are going to be in reverse order from what I post. It's a blonde thing. Enjoy.

Trying To Catch UP
Ok, this will be my attempt to catch up kinda. I thought I had talked about a lot more stuff on here than I have. It's one of those "good intention" things. I'm bad. Too much is happening too fast and I don't have enough time to do it all. I know that is everybody's excuse, but it just so happens its true. I know it is about to get even busier this time of year, so I am going to try to put a bunch of stuff & pics up to catch up before the big end of the year push fills me up with more major stuff to talk about.
Wow, it is so amazing how busy I an without a paycheck (well, not much of one). I am working maybe 2 days a month at my favorite store to help out my friend. Of couse she is generous with a discount for working there, so that makes it worthwhile. Consider a shopping trip - it's well worth it.
Ok, enough of the commercial. Let's see...where do I start? We made a trip to Midland to nephew Robert's wedding. Welcome to the family, Allene. We had a great time and it was a sweet event. We got to visit with dear friends and family - never enough time for that. We had a visit from Misti D and Davis P recently. He taught Sadee many things, or maybe she taught him, I'm not sure. Anyway, jumping off furniture was their favorite and they got lots of support. It was really pretty funny. We will just have to be very diligent when they are near the concrete floors. It was really fun to watch them play.
We had a visit from Jody & Karen's grandkids too. Aidan got to drive the tractor with Big Lar. It made quite an impression. Avery loved Sadee's swing. Of course Sadee wasn't here at the time to complain, so all worked out. They did get to play together a little, tho. Found out Sadee is a mite possessive of her stuff and her grandparents domain....who knew.
We had a sqirmish with a raccoon. She was invading the barn every night and stealing the cats food. We put the big jug of catfood way up high and tightened the lid. She got it down, unscrewed the lid and ate every single bite (she must have had help with eating it). We started hiding it in the dryer. She didn't find that, but was still coming in and messing around. We got a great bit tub of food that was really heavy, so we didn't think she could do anything with it. She drug it outside and tried to chew the lid off. We tried closing up the barn. She chewed the rubber at the bottom of the rollup door. So we got a live trap from Zach. After a little more instruction from the outdoorsman (Z), Lar trapped her. I named her Rocquel. Momma cat got a good look at her and told her that's what you get for messing with my stuff. She went to live at Andra and Zach farm.
I've started helping a friend decorate her house. We have made 2 shopping trips so far and they were fun, productive, but long. I think it will be nice when she gets it done.
I'm enjoying the Bible study I've been going to since August. I'm doing the music for it - a really small and diverse group. Next week we find out if our friend and neighbor Steve is our new JP. Hope so. He is so well qualified and they have made many friends in the 3 years they have been here.
We are having another girls weekend, next weekend for Marissa and several of her co-workers. Turns out some of the parents are coming for some of it too. That will be fun. They are doing the cooking for main meals. I always warn folks. This is a bed and you cook breakfast. Actually, we can cook breakfast, just don't expect much for the other meals. Tgiving and Christmas I do give it my best shot, but even that is risky. So far, no trips to ER tho. Most of my friends are great cooks and try to teach me something each time they come. Eventually, if I live long enough, maybe I'll get it. Oh well, can't do everything.
I haven't started any more MAJOR projects. I've been tempted, but restrained myself so far. I did recently go to FTW to the Thistle Hill house with some friends. I got inspired by all the stenciling, so I'm going to do some of that eventually. Got a small chair to recover first. Hmmm, might have some extra time today.
Ok, I'm off for now. Pictures this afternoon hopefully.

I just couldn't wait for this one
Ok, I'm just putting up the pics because it was too funny. I just read an article that the famous pink flamingos, now turning 49, are dying. The company who originally manufactured them has gone belly up. If I wasn't so lazy I would go try to find the article and link it, but I am Lazy! Or really tired because I should be in bed. So go look it up yourself.
Well anyway, as you can see from the pics (assuming I get them to link up this time) I have a real LIVE Pink Flemingo who walks around in my front yard, lifting one leg and flapping her arms.
I'm also too tired to put a long post on here, so this will have to do for now. I want to put up pics of Lar's big rock wall. And of the shower wall, and talk about trips and visitors. I'm just too tired tonight. I have lots of good pictures and I promise I will try to get that done. So just be happy with this for now, ok?
