Cause I'm going on a trip
I will post a little bit. I'm leaving Wednesday for a little trip - first to Midland to help out at my sis's place for a couple of days, then on to Scotsdale to visit Karen & Jody. Our friend Sharon is going too, so us girls are gonna have fun - even if we just veg out. I'm hoping to hook up with my Andrews buddies when I go to Midland. I will be a fun filled trip.
I started working out. Hard to believe what a wimp I've become. I'm trying hard, but it's amazing what a little age does to ya. I have a trainer who is real sweet, but driving me hard. I'm pretty sore and don't see a lot of improvement yet, but I know it's kind of now or never here. I'm tried of luggin around all this extra junk but mostly just need more energy and I know this will get me there along with some other changes.
Nuf of that. Sadee is changing so fast. She's making the sweetest sounds all the time and getting very agile. She laughs alot and we so enjoy every minute with her. She is pulling up on everything, and will turn loose and reach over to something else, so walking is not too far away. I don't guess I'm in a big hurry for that. Floors are hard and I'm not crazy about the bumps and bruises that are likely. I'm thinking about a helment and knee pads. She doesn't like anything on her head, tho, so that could be a problem.
Jody & Karen's digs are almost done. Probably just another couple of weeks at the most. We are all excited.
Lar had a guy come on a dozer today and do a little clearing out back, mostly push some piles further back into a clearing so we can burn it WHENEVER they release the burn ban. We got a little tiny bit of moisture over the last couple of days - just misting, but that's something.
Lar still loves his job and it is still coming along ahead of schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing that big body of water, but still cannot totally envision it. Eventually it will be a great place to throw in a line.
And off every other subject, it has been old home week around here lately. We knew some folks from Pecos who were in Dublin, Tx, not far from here and sure enough, Lar ran into them when he went to watch our boys basketball team play earlier in the year. Then he went to watch the Dublin girls basketball play in a tournament here and got to sit and visit with them. While they were watching the game, a fellow walked up and said "hi Larry". It was Gary, who had been our pastor in Pecos like 18 years ago. The other couple were also from that church, so it was a big reunion. He and his wife live in Granbury now, so when Karen & Jody get here, we are all planning a get together. Smallish world - again.
Ok, I don't have much more to say & it's late & I want to sleep now. Bye
