Monthly Post
Apparently I have joined the group of "post once a month or less", and I think most of you are in the "less" catagory. Oh well. Plus I have been trying for 30 minutes to get this thing to post a picture of the Sadee with no luck. Maybe before I give up I'll get some up.
Regarding Sadee, she is walking, talking in sign language, knows what WE are saying most of the time, like it or not, but isn't saying much back. Guess she just doesn't have much to say yet. I'm sure that will come and we will sometimes wish for the quiet times back. She is getting pretty bossy too. Even without words, she makes it clear when she wants something and you had BETTER be paying attention. She is more fun than I can describe. Ya'll all need to get you one of the grandchildren.
We have been extremely busy with our friends. All kinds of things are happening around here. I think I might have mentioned our neighbors to the West, along with another couple we know, bought all the land behind us to the South all the way to the next CR that Jody & Karen live on. They both had some big dams built and finished just in time to catch the major rain we had about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Both their hugh lakes almost filled up and they are spectacular. Jody & Karen even get a free view of the biggest one. It will cover about 7 surface acres when it is full, and the other one about 5. Lots of good fishing coming up.
Speaking of Jody & Karen, I guess I'm going to have to hook her up with a blog so she can talk about her own stuff, but everything has just fallen into place for them to move the last week of this month. He will be flying out of Dallas his last couple of months, which is great. Their place is beautiful, and only needs some very small tweaking to be finished. I am expecting most of that to be done before they get back. Some of it they will want to be here for, but anyway, it turned out so great. They were already staying there last time they were here and we had dinner over there a couple of times. It has such a great atmosphere. And to think, that is just the guest house....lucky guests. I think one look at that and the guest list is going to expand.
And my friend Sharon is here with me this week. We are working on a project for them, and just having a great time...she's going to give us a cooking lesson tonight. I we could keep her here a month, I might learn something. Fortunately, Lar is going to learn it too, so it will be retained and used.
Ok, I'm going to hush now. I hope I can figure out this picture thing, but if not, my Moe will be here this weekend, and I know she can. Until next time...and the rest of you better say something...it's getting too boring on here.
