Ok, I'm a slacker
From this, maybe. Seems like a lot has been packed into the last two weeks, I just don't have much to show for it personally. Our Sadee bug had a bug. She has been sick for a week. That is not much fun, but we finally found out yesterday she had infections in both ears. It didn't start as that, just a cold or extreme teething and a runny nose, compounded by a bought of severe gastritis that took her to the ER Monday morning, then eventually the ear infections. She was one miserable baby, but actually wasn't THAT unbearable most of the time considering how she must have felt. Of course I was not the one up with her all night - just with her most of the day. But thanks be to God, she is SO much better due to a little prayer and good drugs. She was back to her fabulous self today. I hope Andra post some more pics soon. She has some, but has been so bogged down with caring for her little one she hasn't had much time for this. I'm sure she'll get to it soon.
We haven't been doing much at the house lately due to waiting on the tape & bed guys to finish. Hopefully this weekend will come texture. Andra & I picked out tile for kitchen and bath floors and bath countertops today. It's going to be very nice. We need to call and buy the wood they picked out. I guess we can go pick it up next week sometime.
I'll be ready for a cruise when we are finished. Bec is coming to help us do the trim work...and I think all the females in the group are going to be painting when it comes to that. They might be in there within a month. It really is going to be a pretty place when it is finished.
We had Jody & Karen here last week. We sure had fun with them. Can't wait until they live here & I think they are real anxious to get here too. Their place is going to be so pretty. We need to run by & see if walls are going up. They were supposed to be pouring foundation the end of last week or the first of this week. Yipee. I remember the feeling. Of course this will just be their temporary abode, but a very nice one it will be.
I've still got projects of my own to finish. I know I will get them done some day, but I probably need to stop taking on new ones until I finish the old ones. I never learn.
Next week will be busy busy. Andra has a gathering planned here at our house and we are going to have a few more folks over later and on and on. Hmm, maybe we can lasso all these warm bodies into helping build something. We can tell them there are Katrina victims in need of a place to live...maybe that will work. Ok, it was a thought.
We have come across some (Katrina victims that is) and Andra has already taken some things to them. God bless them one and all. I pray there will be a great emotional healing and bonding between all the diverse groups who are involved in this amazing event.
I would post more pictures, but I don't have anything interesting. Andra will have to do that. She needs to take more progress pics of the place and post them along with Sadee pics. I'll mention it to her.
Ok, I'm done...Somebody else needs to update or make a comment.
