Don't expect too much yet!

Ok, I'm blogging, but no pictures. My camera has been taken over by a little person. The house is finished except for a couple of small things, like a few more cabinet knobs and the DSL lines hooked up. Seems all the subs are working around the clock to get a house finished for the Staples' to be in a home show and contest. I may have to kidnap Steve to get that last part done.

We have almost all the furniture in the house now and almost all of it in place. The main living areas are liveable now. Sadee's wing is very comfortable for them. It is very quiet and peaceful most of the time. We just got the big TV delivered yesterday and sort of hooked up. Anyway it is watchable (is that a word? it is now). I have really enjoyed my jacuzzi tub - needed it for sure. My sister came and helped me get the kitchen put together (almost finished). I am still trying to decide where to put some things. As we live in it I get more ideas. I need some of you cook type people to come tell me where to put stuff. Anyway it seems maybe I will have enough room for everything. I have, however, actually cooked a few things. I'm liking it.

I haven't even started organizing the laundry/craft room yet, but we are using the washer/dryer plenty.

Lar & I actually slept in the house Monday, March 14th, and Andra & Sadee came Tuesday. We were moving beds and stuff in over the weekend Sadee was born and rushing like crazy to get it done. My sis and Cuz Vicki came to help me work on the wall aging (that's what I'm calling it), and then my friends Lin & Miralee came the next 2 days to put up blinds and help me finish the walls. I am still recovering. I may not get all the decorating stuff put up until Christmas, but that's ok. I'm kind of not rushing with all the foo foo stuff cause I'm not sure I want to use it all.

The apartment is a wreck since we moved out, but it does have a little furniture and a bed so it is useable. But overall, the house is great - we are really enjoying it. I love it at night with all the lights on (you know me and lights/lamps). Lar hasn't even turned them off until bedtime. That's a switch.

And the best thing is spending time with Sadee & Andra. Sadee is, of course, a complete delight. She is so much fun to watch and listen to. Life is good. Thanks be to God.

Come see us.

ps - I know this post is rambling on and in no particular order, but you get idea. Ok, I'm tired and I bet Sadee is calling me.

Bar area and part of living room beams Posted by Hello

Short and sweet

This will not be long, but just so you know I haven't dropped off the planet, I'm talking a little. We have gotten so much done the last 2 weeks I am exhausted just thinking about it. Thanks to my family and a few good friends, we have just about wrapped this thing up. We have to finish glazing the ceiling in the kitchen, aging the vent hood and island and glaze the walls in the main living area. I don't think I will get that done until after we move in, but we will see. I have to get the first two things done tomorrow cause I'm going to Andra's last doctors appointment Tuesday and Wednesday the cleaning people are coming and Friday the carpet guy is coming and I will be a little preoccupied from that day forward. The painter comes back last thing after everyone is finished to touch up everything, so we won't move in until that. But most likely sometime the week after Sadee comes we will move in...to some degree. I don't know how long it will take me to get things in place, etc. I have furniture to either pick up or have delivered from 3 different places. That's another story...kind of had a problem or two there, but I think I have it resolved. Anyway, we are moving ahead. So ok, I am publishing some pictures even though they are not at all up to date. At least you can see some colors. I love the cabinets. All the wood work in the main living area is really working out like I had hoped.

So here ya go. Come see it in person soon.
