I'm a Broken Record

At least I feel like one because I seem to be just repeating myself only with new details - so here goes:

We are still working on A & Z's house like crazy. It is really looking fantastic. I wish they could enter a before and after contest of some kind. They would definately be a major contender. Andra has been taking pics all along, so maybe she will do a pictoral synopsis later.

We have finished the kitchen ceiling - looks like an old, copper tin ceiling. The cabinets were delivered yesterday, but we have to paint them. The guy did a GREAT job. He is a friend of Rusty's from Hico. I highly recommend him - some of the best workmanship I have seen, and a price that can't be beat. Lar & Zach have been working on the rock fireplace. It looks fabulous. Andra & I glazed the living room walls - they too look great. We picked up the wood floors and tile last week in FTW. They will start installing all that tomorrow. I love their choices and can't wait to see them in place. Beck, Andra & I got the wooden columns up that will flank the bar. They look pretty good too. We have all the material to do the trim work and will continue on with that as soon as we get the cabinets painted because he will be back Wednesday or so to install them. It will start coming together real fast now I think.

Anyway, It's a ton of work and Sadee is watching the whole process. I wonder if she will remember any of it. I remember little snippets of my mom and dad working on our house that we moved into when I was maybe 1 year old, so who knows. She's a very bright child...even if I do say so myself. She is so much fun.

We had some more company yesterday, leaving today. Dave and Allison Sanders came by on their way back home to Andrews. He worked with Lar, and actually took part of Lar's job when he retired. They split the job between Dave and a new fellow. Anyway, it was fun seeing them. They are expecting a little bundle of joy in February.

Our friends and soon to be newest neighbors, Jody & Karen are as busy as we are. Their daughter and her husband and 2 kids (a new baby daughter younger than Sadee) are moving as I speak to Fredericksburg (did I spell that right?). Karen is going to stay there for a while to help them get settled in their new house. Won't mind going to visit them a bit. Jody & Karen's place is moving right along. We should have gone over there today to take pics, but I got hung up in Granbury until 8. It was dark. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Ok, I'm too beat to give any more details and who cares anyway. So Vicki - anytime this week you want to come help, feel free. I'm sure we will be there most every day - maybe except Friday. Oh, and anyone else who wants a lesson in installing trim feel free to come also. We will be hard at it.

Bye for now.
