Shopping, shopping, shopping!

Long day of it - got cabinets for the apartment and a NEW Vaccuum Cleaner!! Pretty good one, too. I'm happy about that. It's the small things in my life..ha ha. The Sawyer "away" house in Midland is looking mighty fine, even if it has taken a year. Maybe with my building project underway, we can have a race! Course it's not entirely fair since they are doing most of the work themselves, but hey - no one said that was a part of the game.

So tomorrow a lot will happen - electrical in the barn will be completed, and the power company will finish putting in the permanent electricity Friday. Yeah air conditioning (even tho it has been unseasonably cool - God is smiling on us). The plumber will tie in the water from the well to the barn and rough plumb the house. The drywall people will start in the barn apartment. LOTS of progress.

The only hold up right now is the guy in charge of the sh*(&*(t (that's greek for septic system). He is not moving very fast. I don't know if we can just live there and hold it until we go to town or what. I guess I can eat lots of cheese and not drink any water. There's always a catch in the construction business. I like Clint, the one who will supervise our project. He's a really nice guy. He will need to be cool to put up with my constant phone calls and questions, advice, and ideas - but I think he is up for the task. I think this will be mostly fun.

On an entirely different subject, our broker wants Lar & I to be interviewed on film. They are going to use it in some kind of company wide training thing. Weird. I said maybe they should wait about five years to see how happy we are with their advice! Anyway, guess we will be semi-famous in the Edward D. Jones industry. Please, no autographs.
